We are
- an all female collective formed of twelve multinational dance artists based in London. MassHysteria creates transdisciplinary work for stage, gallery and digital spaces, facilitating hybrid connections within the realm of contemporary movement practice. Collaboration is celebrated as our essential and integral art form.

MassHysteria formed in 2017 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London. Awarded with the Trinity Laban Innovation Award in 2019, the collective received mentorship from Gitta Wigro and created ‘Yoga in the Park’, which premiered at The Place’s Resolution Festival 2020. Our works have premiered at Tate Modern’s Tate Exchange, Resolution Festival 2020 and Bonnie Bird Theatre.
Recent digital works exploring ‘post-touch’ have gained commissions from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, HERVISIONS @ LUX Moving Image, Dampfzentrale Bern and recently, the V&A Museum. MassHysteria has newly commissioned independent artist and performer, Leah Marojević, for an ACE funded project premiering in 2021 exploring a late-night telephone creation.

Our practice is realised through the creation of work and the curation of MASSHYSTERIAPRESENTS: a series of free events consisting of performances, happenings, music experiments and talks that offer a unique open platform to the community and marginalised artist. We invite interdisciplinary creatives, artists and collaborators to share their work alongside the collective. Across 2017-2018 we held eight events throughout SE London, hosting over sixty upcoming artists to a total audience of 2000.
